DESCRIPTION:The Arlington Historical Society programming year will kick off on Thursday\, January 14\, 2016\, with Michael Nardolilli’s lecture “How the C&O Canal and W&OD Railroad Shaped Arlington.” \nAs a leader of both the C&O Canal Trust and the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority\, Nardolilli became very familiar with the story of both of these transportation corridors. He will discuss the surprising connections between the towpath\, trail\, and the history of Arlington County.
