MetPark 6/7/8 (HQ2) & Community Benefits

[ 0 ] October 14, 2019 |

The final Site Plan Review Committee (SPRC) meeting for the MetPark 6/7/8 development is this Monday, Oct 14, from 7-9pm at the Aurora Hills Community Center. MetPark 6/7/8 refers to the first two buildings associated with Amazon HQ2 along Eads and 15th streets.

A focus of this final meeting is a discussion of benefits and contributions needed to offset the impact if the County grants additional “bonus” density, reduces parking requirements, and change from residential to commercial use.

Here is a draft of the community benefit items being presented as a starting point for these discussions.

These have been developed in coordination with reps from our three area civic associations and leverage the Livability22202 initiative to reflect the most appropriate package of items our impacted neighborhoods expect to see from this particular project.

The October 14 SPRC is the last planned SPRC meeting, but the discussion and negotiation will continue until the item goes before the County Board for approval in December. Continue to check for updates and provide your feedback to AHCA.
