VHC Urgent Care opens on 23rd Street

As of January 1st, the Virginia Hospital Center Immediate Care facility has opened at its new location at 764 23rd street next door to Keshet and across the street from the LDS church.

Similar to the previous operation at Carlin Springs, this new location will offer immediate care from 8am to 8pm every day of the week (only closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day). Walk-ins are welcome and no appointment is necessary.  They offer appointments and will be starting a new service at this location which will allow individuals to call ahead or go on-line to “reserve a spot” for an immediate care appointment.

They are an “immediate care” facility, one step below emergency room, and can do flu/strep tests, X-rays, and can transfer records to Virginia Hospital Center if needed. They triage before billing starts, so the patient doesn’t pay twice in the event they need to go to the emergency room.

In addition to the immediate care services, VHC will also be adding primary care and obstetric services at this location. Physicians for those services are currently being hired and those services are expected to be up and running by the end of March.
