Melwood Community Night. NEW DATE: Saturday, Sept 18.

Updated Aug 13: Melwood Arlington Community Night has been postponed due to extreme heat and chance of thunderstorms. The event will now be held on Saturday, September 18^th. We’ll send out further communications after the Labor Day holiday. We hope to see you when we gather in September!

Join your neighbors for a fun, family friendly evening filled with food trucks, popcorn, ice cream, musical entertainment, the movie “Luca”, and more! This family-friendly event is open to all members of the Arlington community. 

Where: Melwood Arlington, 750 23rd Street South, Arlington, VA 22202 

Cost: Registration is required, admission is FREE. Please click here to register. 

What: Live Music, Plant Sales, Food Trucks, Free Popcorn, Movie, Free Ice Cream, Handmade Jewelry by Melwood Participants. 

Featuring live musical entertainment 6:30–7:45 pm: Jake Sizemore is a professional singer, songwriter, guitarist and artist who performs original and cover music as a solo performer and band member in the DC Metro region. Jake is also living and working with autism.

Movie will begin at 8:30pm: “Luca”. Set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, Disney and Pixar’s original feature film “Luca” is a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides.

A few important reminders: 

• Registration is required. Please visit www.melwood.org/event/community-night to sign up.
• Melwood will adhere to all COVID-19 protocols.  
• I hope most neighbors can walk or bike over. Parking will not be available at Melwood’s site. Parking is available at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 745 23rd St S, Arlington, VA 22202, across the street from Melwood, and at Calvary United Methodist Church located at 2315 S Grant St, Arlington, VA 22202. On street parking is available.  
• The rain date will be Saturday, September 18th. Notification of any changes will be sent by 2PM on Friday, August 13th.
